5 Ideas to Show Dad You Care On Father's Day

Father's Day is around the corner, and deservingly so, Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, or Mentors, everywhere have this day to look forward to! A "father" can stand for many things. Some of the most wonderful "gifts" that a father brings would be his influential talks of life lessons and his boisterous belly laugh resulting from those "Dad jokes" (that he just has to say)! And let's not forget one of his most heartwarming gifts, a Dad's hug. We have all suffered from days that may not have turned out the way we had hoped, but many of our Dads were there to help make things better.

So, this Father's Day, let's provide our Dads with another memory to reminisce about and add to his story bank. And when our Dads start to tell the memory of "That One Father's Day... ", we can know (with a smile on our face) that the memory he is about to share brought him joy and was our gift to him.

Here are some memorable ways to show Dad you care this Father's Day:

Do Dad's Daily Chores

If there's one thing a dad is sure to love is a little rest and relaxation from his daily duties. What a treat for your Dad to wake up and see his chores are already complete! This could be anything from tending the yard, washing the car, or emptying all the trash around the house (don't forget to replace the bags). While your Dad is enjoying his rest and relaxation, you could bring him his favorite drink to make his surprise complete!

Treat Dad To A Massage

There's no doubt about it; mentally and physically, Dads work hard. Yet, they are usually the ones we call when we need advice. So, treating your Dad to a massage is a gift can be the perfect way to help him relax.

Take Dad On A Road Trip

For years, your Dad may have served as your chauffeur, taking you from point A to B. Now it's your turn to be the chauffeur and treat Dad to a day of riding shotgun. You can make it as long or as short as you want. You could start by taking him to his favorite restaurant and following it up with some of his favorite activities or taking him on a trip away! Maybe he has that place he has always wanted to go to but never found the time; you could be the one to take him there. You choose to make it as action-packed and as memorable as you want it to be!

Create A "My Favorite Memories with Dad" Slideshow

One way to touch your Dad's heart is to create a slideshow with pictures and videos of some of your favorite memories with him. To top it off, try and include some of his favorite tunes as the background music to get his heartstrings really strumming.

Pack A Picnic (And Don't Forget the Ball)

If the weather's right, plan a picnic at the park for a day with your Dad! Include his favorite lunch items and drinks, pack the blanket and a ball for playing catch, and BAM! Your Father's Day celebration is complete! But, if you want to take it one step further, you can plan a surprise picnic for your Dad and make it a potluck with some other family members and his friends!
